How Die Casting Works

Die casting follows a fast thermal cycle:

  1. First, solid zinc alloy melts inside a furnace at around 420°C
  2. Next, a powerful hydraulic piston forces liquid metal into a steel mold within seconds.
  3. Then, the metal cools and solidifies rapidly inside the mold water channels.
  4. Finally, automatic pins push the hard metal part out for trimming and polishing.
