Color-Filled Etched Nameplate & Metal Badge | OEM | Zhangying

Color-Filled Etched Stainless Steel Nameplates & Metal Badges | OEM Manufacturer

For brands that need their logo to outlive the product. Zylogo’s color-filled etched stainless steel nameplates and metal badges use precision chemical etching to recess your design into 304 or marine-grade 316 stainless steel — then fill each recess with baked enamel paint that becomes a permanent part of the plate. The color does not sit on the surface to peel or scratch off; it is locked into the steel.

This is the option to choose when the label must look as good in year ten as it did on day one — for premium consumer electronics, yacht interiors, luxury packaging, automotive applications, and industrial equipment that has to keep working in harsh environments.

Color-Filling Process

The color on a finished plate comes from a baking process, not surface printing. After your design is etched into the stainless steel — typically 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm deep — we screen-print industrial enamel paint into the recesses. The plate then enters a curing oven where the enamel is baked at 160 °C to 200 °C, depending on the color specification. The result is a chemical bond between the paint and the steel that cannot be scratched out with a fingernail, dissolved by solvents, or removed by the heat, UV, salt spray, or chemicals the plate will encounter in service.

For multi-color designs (a logo with a separate accent color, for example) each color is applied and baked in sequence. This is a more involved process than single-color fill and is reflected in tooling cost and lead time — but it is also why our color-filled plates remain legible in field conditions where flat-printed labels fade within two years.

Where They Are Used

Premium consumer electronics

Logo plates for laptops, audio equipment, and smart appliances where the brand mark must survive daily handling and cosmetic wear without fading.

Yacht and marine equipment

Nameplates for hardware and control panels built to handle salt-spray environments. SUS 316 stainless is our standard recommendation for any plate that will see marine conditions.

Luxury packaging and limited editions

Metal badges and monogram plates for premium packaging, certificates, awards, and limited-edition releases.

Automotive interiors and accessories

Emblem plates for premium audio, trim, and accessory parts where the brand mark communicates product tier.

Industrial equipment and machinery

Specification plates, model serial tags, and warning labels where chemical resistance and UV stability matter more than the cheapest unit price.

Why Brands Specify Zhangying?

Baked enamel, not surface ink. Most etched nameplates use standard ink fill that fades under UV exposure or chemical contact within two to five years. We use a multi-stage baking process so the color is part of the plate itself.

Marine-grade stainless available. SUS 316/304 by default for any application that touches salt water, salt air, or harsh chemical environments — at no premium on most products.

24 years of process refinement. Since 2002, we have refined tolerance control, color matching, and finishing consistency across tens of thousands of production runs.

Dual-base manufacturing. Production capacity in Guangdong and Hunan gives your rollout the redundancy and lead-time flexibility Tier 1 buyers need.

100-piece minimum. Lower than most manufacturers, because we can short-run the inking stage for prototyping and sample batches before committing to full production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this for outdoor or marine applications?

Yes. For salt-water, marine, or harsh chemical environments we produce using SUS 316 stainless steel with the same baked enamel color-fill. Both the metal and the paint finish are designed to handle continuous salt-spray exposure.

How many colors can each nameplate carry?

Up to four colors per design in baked enamel. Most logos are one or two colors. If you need a specific Pantone or a custom hue, we match it from a physical reference and keep the recipe on file for reorders.

Will the color match my brand’s logo colors?

We mix to a Pantone or RAL reference and keep a digital color sample for your approval before production starts. Standard tolerance is ±1 ΔE — invisible to the eye, consistent across batches.

Can I get a sample before placing a full production order?

Yes. We provide pre-production samples for design approval, typically within 5 working days of artwork sign-off, at low MOQ (50 pieces).

3-Step Customization Process

How It Works: Your Custom Metal Plates in 3 Easy Steps

1

Step 1: Submit Your Design & Specs

Send us your vector artwork (AI, PDF, CDR, or DXF format) along with your preferred dimensions, material (Aluminum/Stainless Steel/Brass), thickness, and processing technique (Etching, Diamond Cut, or Electroforming).

2

Step 2: Approve the Free Engineering Proof

Our design team will optimize your artwork and generate a high-definition 2D/3D technical blueprint for your review. We won’t start production until you are 100% satisfied with the digital sample and specifications.

3

Step 3: Precision Manufacturing & Global Delivery

Once approved, your order moves into our advanced precision manufacturing facility. After passing our strict 100% quality inspection, your custom nameplates are safely packed and dispatched via fast global express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) straight to your facility.

You ask, we answer

We are highly flexible to support both startups and mass-volume OEM manufacturers. For most custom metal nameplates and stickers, our MOQ starts at just 100 to 500 pieces depending on the specific manufacturing process and dimensions. Contact our team to discuss your project requirements.

To ensure perfect precision and sharp edges, we prefer vector files in AI, PDF, CDR, DXF, or DWG formats. If you only have a high-resolution PNG or JPG, our engineering team can often help convert it into a production-ready vector format for you.

A: Absolutely! We offer digital blueprint approvals for free. If your project requires a physical sample for testing, we can arrange a pre-production prototype for a small tooling fee, which can be fully refunded or credited when you proceed with the mass production order.

A: Standard production time is typically 7 to 15 working days after blueprint approval, depending on design complexity and order volume. Shipping via express couriers (DHL/FedEx/UPS) usually takes 3 to 5 business days worldwide.

Yes, our plates are engineered for longevity. Our etched stainless steel (316/304 grade) and anodized aluminum nameplates feature outstanding resistance to UV rays, extreme weather temperatures, moisture, corrosion, and harsh industrial industrial chemicals.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the total weight of your package, the dimensions, and your specific delivery destination. Because we provide factory-direct wholesale pricing to maximize your cost savings, shipping is not included by default. However, we have long-term partnerships with major couriers and can pass our deep bulk shipping discounts directly on to you.

Yes, absolutely! If you prefer to manage the logistics yourself or have negotiated better rates with a carrier, just provide us with your DHL, FedEx, UPS, or TNT account number, and we will coordinate the pickup from our factory at no extra charge.

We offer flexible and secure payment channels to accommodate international business buyers. We accept Wire Transfers (T/T)

A: For standard custom production orders, our regular payment terms are a 30% to 50% deposit before engineering and manufacturing begin, with the remaining balance due upon completion, right before global dispatch. For long-term corporate partners with high-volume accounts, we can discuss tailored financial terms upon a successful credit review.
